As a qualified Hypnoanalysts, it is our job to determine whether your problem is subject to psychological forces. These psychological forces can be described as something inside oneself but outside of one’s control. Such emotions as unhappiness, low self esteem, loneliness, boredom and emotional upset which all contribute to the way in which we behave, our eating habits and the type of food we eat. An audio CD each of your sessions are included together with 5 further pre recorded Daily challenge CD's  for you to take home to help you on the road to success. Depending on the amount of weight you wish to lose and and other contributing factors to your weight issues it may be recommended to incorporate into your weight loss programme  'The DREAM Technique'  which includes changing limiting beliefs, positive suggestions for a healthier, fitter lifestyle, encouraging you to form a healthy eating pattern and also to take regular gentle exercise such as walking since energy levels rise with the progressive weight loss. Following this, your level of energy is resumed and a stable weight acquired. Your relationship with food changes to a healthy one rather than unhealthy.

People can gain and lose weight throughout their lives, sometimes this can be due to stress, loneliness, excess weight after child birth, change of life style, a period of ill health, or eating the wrong foods may have become a habit or a comfort. Setting Your Target Weight

 

When you set your target weight, be realistic.  Setting something that is physically/psychologically unobtainable over a short period of time is only going to chip away at your determination. Whether it’s 100 pounds or 20 pounds you want to lose, set a target of losing 2 or 3 pounds at a time. This is achievable and will give you confidence to attack the next 2/3 pounds, leaving you feeling proud of what you have achieved. Remember, it’s you taking control that’s important.  It’s also important to remember that if you eat too less, your body goes into starvation mode and stores everything it can when you do eat.  Eat regular meals so your body knows the next meal will come, and this avoids unnecessary storing of fats etc.

 

 

 

Points To Remember

 

· Look forward to meal times as real breaks in the day. A time to relax and recover.

· Eat to the routine that suits you. Avoid snacking, but allow yourself a treat. That small bar of chocolate you have on a Saturday night while watching a good film will do you no harm.  We all need treats to look forward too. Having that bar 2 times a day every day of the week is what will put the weight on.

· Start out having smaller portions and avoid seconds. Give your mind time to register that you’re full.

· Don’t snack, nibble or binge between meals.

· Eat at a table and avoid eating as you watch TV or read.

· Put your fork or spoon down after each mouthful

· Take time over your food. Chew each mouthful slowly and thoroughly

· Learn to stop eating while still feeling a little hungry, as your body will draw from that fat reserve store in your body, and therefore contributing to weight loss.

· It’s okay to enjoy food, just eat smaller portions.

· Don’t have plates of excess food on the table

· Don’t keep leftovers unless they can help form your next main meal.

· Don’t deny yourself certain foods.  Be sensible and if you think they are not going to help in weight loss, only eat them on odd occasions.

· Take more exercise. But first talk to your doctor or fitness instructor on what amount you should be doing.

· Only shop for food after you have eaten

· When setting your target to lose weight, be realistic

· Worrying solves nothing. Doing achieves all.

 

There is no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy food just because you’ve decided to lose weight. By taking control of your eating habits you will find that the quality of food becomes more important that the quantity that you eat.

 

You will be pleased at how easy it is to leave all those old ideas of dieting and snacking between meals. You will form a healthy pattern of eating and general outlook to life.

New Prostate Cancer Test

A more accurate test for prostate cancer has been developed. The current test measures  levels of a protein in the blood - but it often gives false positives  - i.e. It indicates there is cancer quite often when there is not.

Further extensive research will be needed before the test can be proven, but this is an encouraging result which may well produce a test which is faster, more accurate, and which reduces the stress that the current test can produce.

Omega-3 and Omega-6
